Locality - Mickleover is situated on the outskirts of the city of Derby. Located 2 miles from the city centre and has the Royal Derby Hospital located nearby. Mickleover has a thriving small shopping area, and large supermarket. It also has its own football club of Mickleover FC, Mickleover Golf Course, Pastures Golf Club, leisure and spa facilities at Derby Mickleover Hotel and, of course, Derby is home to the historic football club of Derby County FC. Derby is the home of Rolls Royce, Toyota UK Ltd and many more industries which the East Midlands area is so proud. Good commuting access with A38 and nearby A50 connecting to both M1 & M6 motorways.
Owner's perspective - “Buxton drive was our first house and we have loved living here and growing our family. We have loved the open plan layout at the back of the house for entertaining guests and the spacious garden, which has been well loved by the kids and a sun trap all year round.
The location for us has been perfect with a small precinct of shops, post office, takeaway, salon and pub all a short walking distance, and the centre of Mickleover a 20min walk to further pubs/bars, restaurants and shops. Mickleover is a great place to live that has a lovely sense of community with lots of regular events and local groups for children, with multiple options of parks in walking distance and Markeaton park a 5mins drive away with a wide range of other activities on offer. The Meadows is a 5minute walk away with lots of open green spaces and has been our go to for wearing out our dogs, with it being a popular dog walking location there is always other dogs for them to run around with. The city centre is also only a few miles away with a bus stop to the city located nearby. It’s also a short drive to escape to the countryside for more adventure.
Mickleover is closely situated to the A38/A50 making it a great location for commuting but with the newly built garden office/man cave there is also the option to work comfortably from home, enabling you to create your own space outside of the house. The garden office & indoor log burner have been our favourite additions to an otherwise lovely home.
